Sylathea Prescott-Hutchins, Ed.D.
Executive Director

I am new to the role of Executive Director for the Ready4LearningClub (R4LC), but not new to the R4LC. Ten years ago, Angela Lindsay was the school counselor, and I was the assistant principal at Gadsden Elementary School. I was the chief disciplinarian for the entire school, as well as the professional development administrator, as well as the evaluator of certified, and classified staff members. I also worked closely with the school's parent center to ensure our parents/caregivers have a better understanding of what we expected from their children… our students.

Chief Inspiration Officer / Resource Management

I am excited to be joining the management team of the Ready4LearningClub. I have heard for years the inspiring, uplifting stories of students who find their personal power, from my sister Angela. Angela created the Ready4LearningClub almost ten years ago, to give smart students who were struggling or failing, a way to quickly save themselves. I am thrilled to take a larger role in this process of making survival and success tools accessible to young people, through poetry and music creation.

R4LC Ambassador / Coordinator of All Things Familial, Cultural & International

He learned adversity early in life when at age 15, chaos came to Nigeria, his native country, in the form of the Biafran civil war. Forced from his home, along with millions of other Biafrans, his survival during that time was due to a series of miracles. He doesn't speak about those days easily, but he remembers the dreadful sound bombs make, whining, as they drop thru the air seconds before exploding close by.

Who We Are

An activist community made up of teachers, counselors, students, parents, grandparents, corporate/business partners, community mentors, retirees, college students, and professional musicians. We come together to create an emotionally intelligent strategy for learning success through music, writing, movement, and media technology. We call this strategy the Ready4LearningClub.

What We Do

We show learners how to choose emotionally intelligent music, writing, movement and media technology tools to create their own peak performance learning, every single day.

How We Do It

The Ready4LearningClub makes available our peak performance learning strategies in a variety of formats, including corporate and school residencies/workshops, Continuing Education training for educators and administrators, and individual sales of CDs/DVDs and self-coaching guides.

Why We Do It

Peak performance learning does not happen, unless the learner is ready to learn. Tragically, many learners don't know how to get themselves ready for learning. They fail to learn at high levels, not because they cannot, but because they do not know how to activate their unique and individual learning core for peak performance.

This essential missing HOW is the need the Ready4LearningClub fills.
